Bin Repair Services:

1. GM Ventures (PTY) LTD provides wheelie bin products and services under the BIN DOCTOR band name.
2. BIN DOCTOR provides bin repair services only in the Tshwane municipal area.
3. Customers are requested to ensure that their bin is always marked with their house number.
4. We operate a roadside service, customers are requested to leave their bin on the boundary once it has been emptied so that the repair collection process can commence. Bins will be returned and left at the boundary after repairs unless agreed otherwise. (If you have an assisted collection, please inform us and we will collect and return the bin to its storage position for you). Please Note: Pickup for repairs can take place up to 24 hours after the waste collection occurred.
5. We cannot collect a bin if it is contaminated with wet paint, excessive amounts of wet oil, or animal faeces.
6. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that BIN DOCTOR has the correct and current contact details.
7. Failure to comply with the above may mean that we are unable to repair your bin which may result in a penalty callout fee being charged.
8. If any rubbish remains in the bin after the refuse collection occurred, it will be at the operator’s discretion as to whether repair collection can be carried out. If the operator decides to collect the bin then any rubbish removed will be bagged up and returned.
9. If your bin is going to be unavailable for repairs on a scheduled appointed day i.e. holidays, Council worker strike, etc. please give at least 24 hours advance notice to BIN DOCTOR in order to prevent a penalty callout fee being charged.
10. In the event that we are unable to collect your bin for repairs, advanced notice will be given where possible.
11. In the event that we are unable to repair your bin i.e. excessive cracks, large voids and burns, etc. then your bin will not be collected for repairs. In such instances, you will be advised to rather replace the broken bin. No callout fee will be charged.
12. In the event that we do collect your bin for repairs but realise the cost of repairs will be above 50% of the cost of a new bin, you will be notified to confirm repairs should continue or not. Should you wish not to incur the expense the bin will be returned. No callout fee will be charged.
13. If the Council notifies the customer of any change to the refuse collection please ensure that BIN DOCTOR is aware of it.
14. We are closed for a period of four weeks starting at the end of the last full working week before Christmas Day.
15. BIN DOCTOR reserves the right to cancel or refuse any bin repair without explanation.

LOAN WHEELIE BINS

18. Loan wheelie bins are available to customers who booked wheelie bin repairs. Loan wheelie bins are provided only for the duration it takes to repair the broken wheelie bin.
19. Loan wheelie bins are not provided for free. A fixed cost is charged for the duration it takes to have the broken wheelie bin repaired, for a maximum of 3 days. Refer to the latest price list.
20. Loan wheelie bins are the property of GM Ventures PTY LTD. The customer agrees to return the loan wheelie bin when his/her bin is returned irrespective if the broken wheelie bin is repaired or not.
21. The customer agrees to ensure the wheelie bin is returned in the same original state as when it was delivered.
22. GM Ventures PTY LTD reserves the right to charge the customer the full price of a new 240 L bin should the loan bin be damaged.

BIN CLEANING SERVICES:

23. Customers are requested to ensure that their bin is always marked with their house number.
24. We operate a roadside service, customers are requested to leave their bin on the boundary once it has been emptied so that the cleaning process can take place. Bins will be left at the boundary after washing unless agreed otherwise. (If you have an assisted collection, please inform us and we will collect and return the bin to its storage position for you). Please Note: cleaning can take place up to 24 hours after the waste collection.
25. We cannot clean a bin if it is contaminated with wet paint, excessive amounts of wet oil, or animal faeces.
26. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that BIN DOCTOR has the correct and current contact details.
27. Failure to comply with the above may mean that we are unable to clean your bin which will result in the loss of a credit.
28. If any rubbish remains in the bin after the refuse collection it will be at the operator’s discretion as to whether cleaning can be carried out. If the operator decides to clean the bin then any rubbish removed will be bagged up and returned.
29. If your bin is going to be unavailable for cleaning on a scheduled cleaning day i.e. holiday’s, please give at least 24 hours advance notice to BIN DOCTOR in order to preserve the cleaning credit otherwise it will be lost.
30. BIN DOCTOR will notify the customer of the start date of the four-weekly cleaning schedule and will provide you with a cleaning calendar for the current year, thereafter the customer should make themselves aware of the cleaning schedule and make their bins available for cleaning on the correct days. Our cleaning schedules are available to view on our website at www.bindoctor.co.za. Just follow the link to round schedules, and you can check your cleaning week numbers against the calendar.
31. The minimum subscription is for six cleans (12 cleans if paying by monthly Direct Debit) otherwise the one-off cleaning fee applies.
32. BIN DOCTOR will issue the customer with a re-subscription notice on the day of the last subscribed clean. If the customer does not wish to subscribe for further cleaning, notification must be given to BIN DOCTOR within seven days of the last subscribed clean.
33. If the customer fails to respond, BIN DOCTOR will clean the bin on the next scheduled cleaning day and will issue a reminder notice that your account is now in arrears.
34. If the customer re-subscribes to the service following the reminder notice the cost of the clean will be offset against the subscription fee at the subscription rate.
35. If the customer fails to re-subscribe following the reminder notice the customer will be liable for the cost of the clean at the one-off cleaning rate and an invoice will be sent to this effect. Failure to pay this invoice may result in legal action.
36. In the event that we are unable to clean your bin, advanced notice will be given where possible and cleaning credits will be preserved.
37. If we are unable to clean your bin due to bad weather, or other factors beyond our control, this will be deemed as chargeable; however, we will do our best to catch up the missed clean when conditions become workable again (this may not always be possible).
38. If the Council notifies the customer of any change to the refuse collection please ensure that BIN DOCTOR is aware of it.
39. In the event of a customer relocating, subscriptions may transfer to the new address where possible. If it is not possible to transfer the subscription a discretionary refund of the remaining subscription fee may be arranged. Refunds will be calculated by unused credits multiplied by the subscription rate paid, less an administration fee equivalent to two credits.
40. Debit orders are for a minimum contract of 12 months as per original order. Cancelling a Debit order before the end of this contract will result in an invoice being issued for the remaining contract amount. Once the initial 12 month period is complete Debit order can be cancelled at any time.
41. We are closed for a period of four weeks starting at the end of the last full working week before Christmas Day. Customers paying by Debit order please note; Bins are cleaned at 4 weekly intervals and there will be some months in which you will receive an extra clean of the same coloured bin. These extra cleans take into account any missed cleans in the period when we are closed. You make 12 monthly Debit order payments each year and you receive 12 cleans of each coloured bin chosen.
42. A customer cancelling Debit order arrangements with their bank must also notify BIN DOCTOR to prevent any unwanted cleans/charges.
43. BIN DOCTOR reserves the right to cancel or refuse any subscription without explanation.

BIN STORAGE AREA SERVICES:

46. Customers are requested to ensure that their bin storage area are clearly demarcated.
47. The bin storage area will only be cleaned in conjunction with a 12 month bin cleaning contract (Gold or Platinum Service)
48. BIN DOCTOR cannot clean a bin storage area if it is contaminated with wet paint or excessive amounts of wet oil.
49. It is not the responsibility of BIN DOCTOR to remove waste that was not removed by the Council or Waste Management Company.
50. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that BIN DOCTOR has the correct and current contact details and physical address.
51. Failure to comply with the above may mean that we are unable to clean your bin storage area which will possibly result in the loss of a credit.
52. If any rubbish remains in the bin storage area after the refuse collection it will be at the operator’s discretion as to whether cleaning can be carried out. If the operator decides to clean the storage area then any rubbish removed will be bagged up and returned.
53. If your bin storage area is going to be unavailable for cleaning on a scheduled cleaning day i.e. holiday’s, please give at least 24 hours advance notice to Bin Doctor in order to preserve the cleaning credit otherwise it will be lost.
